Welcome to a comprehensive travel resource tailored for overland journeys in Africa. This offline application provides a detailed map and an extensive array of noteworthy locations to aid in the planning of your upcoming safari adventure. Your GPS location functionality ensures seamless navigation during your self-drive expedition.

The application offers samplings of the map and guide content, with the option to upgrade to complete country maps and guides.

This resource functions differently from typical routing or navigation applications, focusing on delivering offline access to the following features:
<ul>
<li>A detailed map of the purchased country or region. The map's level of detail approximates that of a 1:1,000,000 paper map, offering various zoom levels for exploration. Similar to a web map, all information is locally stored on your device. It includes a plethora of place names such as cities, towns, villages, detailed road networks, significant natural landmarks like rivers and mountains, as well as key attractions and national parks.</li>
<li>A comprehensive guide comprised of categories like Places (cities, towns, etc.), Attractions & Activities, Parks, Scenic Spots, Campsites, Accommodations, Dining Options, Fuel Stations, Shopping Areas, Services, and More (miscellaneous points of interest). Each guide entry is linked to a specific location on the map and appears as a pin for easy reference.</li>
</ul>

The app allows users to view a map of the chosen country or region and toggle various categories of points of interest. Specific locations can be searched by name. The search function is location-sensitive, providing results relative to the map's center. Your device's location service pinpoints your exact position on the map for accurate orientation throughout your journey.

Search functionality corresponds with the guide categories; for instance, activating the Campsites category reveals nearby camping sites. The search bar helps in finding specific locations efficiently.

In addition to the aforementioned categories, points of interest are accompanied by detailed information such as descriptions, contact details, facilities, activities, and sometimes images. Explore the sample data within the free app to get an overview of our offerings.

Guide and map content receive quarterly updates and are easily downloadable for customers who have purchased the respective guide.
